VILLAS – we are proud to represent Cottages to Castles in South Africa. Stay in hand-picked properties of a high standard. During high season most properties have a Saturday to Saturday rental policy, but out of season a lot of the properties are flexible with their minimum stay policy. APARTMENTS/COTTAGES – we can offer apartments in most big cities and towns. They are more flexible with their stay policy, meaning you can stay anything from 3 nights and more and not necessarily from a Saturday to a Saturday. We also offer cottage stay options in the country.
Hotels, B&Bs, Guest Houses, Farm Stays
We can offer a range of 3-5 star hotels in most Italian cities and towns, as well as quaint Bed & Breakfasts/Guest Houses and some rural farm stays.
Venice Lagoon – Chioggia
Cruise on the Venice lagoon and you’ll be left with unforgettable memories. From sleepy villages to historic cities, from fashionable beach resorts such as the Lido to fishermen’s settlements and typically Mediterranean family bathing scenes, Venice’s hinterland reveals its hidden treasures to you on a voyage as remarkable for its natural landscapes as for its picturesque villages. Separated from the sea by a narrow neck of land, the lagoon immediately reveals itself in all its vastness. Chioggia, a marvellous little town linked by bridges to the mainland, has an amazing fish market and is the southernmost port on the lagoon. Follow the deep water channels to the traditional fishing village of Pellestrina, then cross the Malamocco shipping channel and head for Venice. Enjoy a stunning view of the Serenissima’s most famous spot, with the Basilica of St Mark and the Palace of the Doges. Cruising on northwards, romantic islands ripple out; Murano with its glassblowers, Burano, the lacemaking island, and Torcello whose cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is one of the greatest Venetian monuments of the Byzantine age. Once past these charming islands, extend your cruise up to Treviso, on the meandering treelined River Sile, or altenatively on the Brenta Canal, whose rustic landscapes recall the canvases of Canaletto.
For 10-14 day cruises, this carefully preserved wildlife wonderland is idyllic. The Valle Canal Novo reserve has a complex ecosystem unique in Europe, resulting from its varying degrees of salinity. At Marano itself, a picturesque little town which has kept its thriving fishing community, the ancient citadel rises above the surrounding marshes.
