Day 2 : Cape Town

  • After breakfast optional Full Day Cape Point and Peninsula tour includes view Clifton beach, Camps bay & Twelve Apostles mountain range, drive along Chapman’s Peak, visit Hout Bay harbor (optional seal island tour)
  • Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape of Good Hope, Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach, drive through Simon’s Town, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg and visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
  • Cape Point is a promontory at the southeast corner of the Cape Peninsula, which is a mountainous and scenic landform that runs north-south for about thirty kilometres at the extreme southwestern tip of the African continent in the Republic of South Africa. Table Mountain and the city of Cape Town are close to the northern extremity of the same peninsula. The cape is located at 34°21′26″S 18°29′51″ECoordinates: 34°21′26″S 18°29′51″E, about 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) east and a little north of the Cape of Good Hope on the southwest corner. Although these two rocky capes are very well known, neither cape is actually the southernmost point of the mainland of Africa.

Day 3 : Cape Town

  • After breakfast optional viewing the sights of Cape Town on the Hop On Hop off Red City Tour Bus
  • Lunch at one of the stops of your choice
  • Return to your Hotel and dinner for own arrangements

Day 4 : Stellenbosch

  • After breakfast travel to Stellenbosch and spend leisure time in and around Stellenbosch visting sights and wine farms.
  • Stellenbosch is a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa, situated about 50 kilometres (31 miles) east of Cape Town, along the banks of the Eerste River at the foot of the Stellenbosch Mountain. It is the second oldest European settlement in the province, after Cape Town. The town became known as the City of Oaks or Eikestad in Afrikaans and Dutch due to the large number of oak trees that were planted by its founder, Simon van der Stel, to grace the streets and homesteads.
  • Stellenbosch has its own municipality (incorporating the neighbouring towns of Pniel and Franschhoek), adjoining the metropolitan area of the City of Cape Town. The town is home to Stellenbosch University. Technopark is a modern science park situated on the southern side of the town near the Stellenbosch Golf Course.

Day 5 : Stellenbosch

  • Take a day trip to Franschoek and visit the wine farms along the route. Visit the historical town of Franschoek
  • Franschhoek is a town in South Africa’s Western Cape with centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture. Trails wind through flowers and wildlife at Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve to views over Franschhoek Valley. The Huguenot Memorial Museum and neighboring monument honor the area’s French settlers, who arrived in the 17th and 18th centuries. Franschhoek Motor Museum displays vintage cars amid mountain farmland.

Day 6 : Whale Coast

  • After breakfast check out and travel to Hermanus via the Hermanus wine route
  • Stop for lunch at one of the Wine farms
  • Hermanus lies along Walker Bay on the south coast of the Western Cape. It is located about 115 km southeast of Cape Town and is connected to the Mother City by the R43 highway (or coastal R44 scenic route) and N2 motorway. The R43 continues to Cape Agulhas, the most southerly point of Africa. Hermanus is 40 km from Gansbaai, a famous spot where one can dive amongst the Great White Sharks. It is also notable that Hermanus still boasts a historic railway station building without a railway line. The founders of the town decided not to lay any tracks as this would have made Hermanus more commercial and felt that Hermanus needed to stay a small Fisherman’s Village. To this day the locals still refer to it as “the village.”
  • Sandbaai lies on the coast at the entrance to the Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley. It is the most recently developed and fastest growing residential area of Greater Hermanus.
  • Zwelihle, designated a “black” area by the former government, is a residential area that consists mainly of shacks.

Day 7 : Whale Coast

  • Day at leisure or optional Whale watching tour or Shark Cage diving trip.
  • Hermanus is a seaside town southeast of Cape Town, in South Africa’s Western Cape Province. It’s known as a whale-watching destination. Beaches include Voëlklip Beach and the broad Grotto Beach, overlooking Walker Bay. The Old Harbour Museum is a site encompassing the old harbour, a fishermen’s village and the Whale House Museum. The latter has informative displays and a suspended skeleton of a whale.

Day 8 : Knysna

  • Travel to Knysna .
  • After check in, take in the views of Knysna Heads
  • The town is a popular destination for both tourists and senior citizens entering retirement, especially among the British and former expatriates due to the year-round warm climate. Recently, the town has also become a preferred destination among golfers, as the town boasts several world class golf courses, including Pezula Golf Course, Simola Golf Course and the well established Knysna Golf Course situated on the lagoon. It is near the towns of Plettenberg Bay and George, where there are airports. Knysna is also home to Mitchell’s Brewery. The forest, rivers, estuary, and ocean surrounding the town are dotted with hiking trails and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Hikers, runners, kayakers, swimmers, and fishermen are known to be particularly fond of Knysna.

Day 9 : Knysna

The Lagoon, more accurately defined as an estuary, has five fresh water rivers flowing in from the surrounding Outeniqua Mountains meeting with the surge of sea water from the Indian Ocean through the mighty headlands – known as the ‘Knysna Heads’ – the grand sandstone cliffs towering above the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 10 : Oudtshoorn

  • Travel from Knysna to Oudtshoorn and visit the famous Cango Caves
  • 29km from Oudtshoorn, at the head of the picturesque Cango Valley, lie the spectacular underground wonder of the Klein Karoo – the Cango Caves. Situated in a limestone ridge parallel to the well known Swartberg Mountains, you will find the finest dripstone caverns, with their vast halls and towering formations.

Day 11 : Cape Town

  • After breakfast take a leisurely drive back to Cape Town –

Day 12 : Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

  • You will be collected from your Hotel for your transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Hoedspruit Airport on Flight SA1241 departing at 09:10 and arriving at 1230
  • On arrival at Hoedspruit airport you will be met and transferred to Kambaku River Sands for a 3 night fully inclusive stay.
  • Transfer is approximately 1 hours from the airport
  • Afternoon game drive at the camp.

Day 13 : Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

  • Early morning and Afternoon game drives at the camp.
  • Nestled in the heart of the world-renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, and part of the Greater Kruger National Park, lies Kambaku River Sands. The camp lies majestically on a perennial river system enticing guests to sit back and relax. Being unfenced allows for the free movement of animals in and around camp, often playing host to herds of elephant, buffalo, as well as the occasional lion pride or wondering leopard. The spacious main area boasts two large fireplaces, open sky boma, wrap-around bar, infinity pool and wine cellar, all overlooking the camp waterhole. The 10-luxury air conditioned suites are spaciously set along the riverbank, offering magnificent views and ideal bird watching. Enjoy the huge diversity of game, plant and birdlife either from the safari vehicle or on foot, and look out for the famous white lions, endangered African wild dogs, big 5, hippo & hyena to name just a few.
