Luxury Rovos Rail - Zimbabwe - 3 Nights

This three-night adventure begins with the train's departure from Rovos Rail's station in Victoria Falls.

Victoria Falls to Pretoria
Day 1 – Sunday
17h00 – Depart Victoria Falls station and travel towards Zimbabwe’s largest reserve, the Hwange National Park.
19h30 – Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Kennedy siding for the overnight stop. Dress is Fromal.

Day 2 – Monday
05h00 – Early wake-up call with a continental breakfast.
06h00 – Disembark for a game drive at The Hide.
11h00 – Brunch is served as the train travels along one of Africa’s longest stretches of straight railway line -114km.
16h30 – Tea in the lounge car or observation car at the rear of the train.
19h30 – Dinner is served en-route to the border at Beitbridge. Dress is Fromal.

Day 3 – Tuesday
07h00 – Breakfast is served as the train leaves baobab country.
13h00 – Lunch is served in the dining cars as the train crosses the Tropic of Capricorn towards Warmbaths and Nylstroom.
16h30 – Tea in the lounge car or observation car at the rear of the train.
19h30 – Dinner is served as the train passes the edge of the escarpment. Overnight Pyramid.

Day 4 – Wednesday
05h00 – Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 09h00.
10h00 – Arrive at journeys end in Pretoria.

Dress Code:
For days on the train dress is smart casual. Evening attire is more formal – for the gentlemen a jacket and tie is a minimum requirement while for ladies we suggest cocktail, evening dresses or suits. Please include warm clothing for cold mornings and evenings. With regard to off-train excursions, we strongly recommend comfortable walking shoes, sun lotion and hats. If required, blankets and rain capes are available. For game drives, which are on open vehicles, please dress accordingly: mornings can be cool then warm up considerably; afternoons can be warm then cool down considerably. Please see average temperatures as a guide.

Health:
Anti-Malaria and yellow fever precautions may be required in countries being visited. Although all countries travelled through don’t require yellow fever or medical exemption certificates, countries guests return to after the trip often
